After the ice around you had thawed, you spend a lot of time wandering around grey stone places with lots of colors. You pressed your hands to the hard walls you could not see, became frightened of the beasts which churned out smoke and puffs of ash, and heard all of the others around making noises you could not understand. You went to the big smooth place where they had put the lake in the ground and they were swimming in it and making happy sounds.

And the pretty thing was there. You began grasping handfuls of the pretty thing’s hair and smelling it until it made a noise and one of the not pretty things came and pushed and hit at you. Something happened and then there was a lot of red on the ground. All of the others made loud noises and went out. Soon there were some in blue suits who appeared with small black sticks. They pushed these sticks at you and you tried to get away but the sticks made loud and then the feeling of stinging came all around and black came into your eyes and you went down into the water. In the water it was cool and pleasant but you wanted to get out and could not find the surface. Then you tried to breathe air but the water came inside instead of the air…
